Rod Stewart Just Canceled His Entire Tour After Heart Procedure β And The Rock Legend's Message Has Us In Our FEELINGS π
Stop everything: Rod Stewart's "One Last Time" farewell tour just came to a screeching halt β and it's for the most serious reason.
The 81-year-old rock legend has canceled ALL of his remaining tour dates after undergoing what doctors are calling a "routine" coronary stent procedure. Yes, really. And while the good news is that the surgery was successful, the bad news is that his doctors are ordering him to stay off the stage for at least four weeks to recover.
The Tea β
- Rod Stewart, 81, successfully underwent a coronary stent procedure (a mesh tube inserted into a clogged heart artery)
- Doctors say he's "doing very well" but need him to recuperate for FOUR WEEKS before returning to the stage
- All remaining tour dates are canceled, including his six-night Las Vegas residency and shows through Sept. 3
- Stewart says he's "deeply disappointed" but already feeling better
How It All Went Down
According to Page Six, Stewart first postponed his Sunday concert in Cincinnati due to what the venue called "an unforeseen but minor medical procedure that required prompt attention." Then he canceled Tuesday night's show in Cleveland at Rocket Arena.
But it turns out this was way more serious than a "minor" procedure.
"Following further medical evaluation, Sir Rod Stewart has successfully undergone a routine coronary stent procedure," his publicist said in a statement shared on E! Online. "Doctors are pleased with his recovery, and Rod is doing very well and has returned to his normal daily activities."
The statement continued: "On the advice of his doctors, he will take the next four weeks to recuperate and regain full fitness before returning to the stage. Unfortunately, this means he will be unable to continue his current tour dates."
Rod's Heartfelt Message
The "Maggie May" singer β who has been inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame TWICE, by the way β took to social media to personally address his fans. And honestly? His message has us feeling all the things.
"I'm already feeling better and very much on the mend," Stewart wrote. "I want to thank the doctors, nurses and everyone who has taken such wonderful care of me."
He added: "I'm deeply disappointed to miss these shows and sorry to let my fans down, but I look forward to getting back on stage and having a good time with you all again soon."
The statement was accompanied by a photo of the octogenarian leaning against a grand piano in an all-white ensemble, signature spiky blonde hair on full display. Legend behavior, honestly.
This Isn't His First Health Scare This Year
If you've been following Rod's tour, you might remember that health issues have been a recurring theme in 2026.
Back in June, Page Six reports he had to cancel two shows at his Las Vegas residency at Caesars Palace due to a "awful f--king sinus infection" that spread to his ears and eardrums, messing with his equilibrium.
Then, just a week later, he paused his June 19 performance in Utah to use an oxygen tank at the side of the stage. "I nearly f--king fainted up there, I'll tell you," he told the crowd at the time, per TMZ. But being the absolute trooper he is, he powered through: "The show must go on."
The Fans Are LOVING Him Right Back
And while Rod might be apologizing to his fans, they are NOT having it β in the best way.
"You didn't let people down! You've been performing for us for 50+ years. We are grateful for your talent and that your health is on the mend. Love you Rod," one fan wrote on social media, according to E! Online.
Another added: "We know your health is more importantβand we want you to be Forever Young!"
We are SOBBING. π
What Happens Now?
Stewart was scheduled to perform through Sept. 3 in North America, including that six-night residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas and a few dates in Mexico. Information about affected performances and refunds will be coming directly from the venues and promoters.
The Grammy Award-winning artist β whose signature rasp made him a rock 'n' roll ICON and whose hits like "Maggie May," "Tonight's the Night," and "Forever Young" have sold millions of records β has been on this "One Last Time" farewell tour as a way to say goodbye to fans after a career spanning literal decades.
Now, the big question is: will he reschedule these dates once he's recovered, or is this truly the end of the road?
We're hoping for a triumphant return, because honestly, the world needs more Rod Stewart.
