Mia Goth Has Officially Filed To Divorce Shia LaBeouf — Days Before Their 10th Anniversary
Mia Goth filed for divorce from Shia LaBeouf on Oct. 6, citing irreconcilable differences and asking for primary custody of their 4-year-old daughter. Here's what the court docs say.
It's paperwork o'clock: Mia Goth has officially filed for divorce from Shia LaBeouf, more than a year after the couple quietly went their separate ways.
According to TMZ, the Pearl star filed Tuesday night (Oct. 6), citing the standard "irreconcilable differences." E! News also obtained the court documents.
The Tea ☕
- Goth filed Oct. 6, just days before what would have been their 10th wedding anniversary, per E!.
- The docs list their separation date as July 28, 2025.
- She's asking for primary legal and physical custody of their 4-year-old daughter, Isabel.
What The Docs Say
Goth is also requesting that the court be unable to award spousal support to either her or LaBeouf, according to both outlets.
The pair wed in 2016, E! notes, and had been on-and-off since 2012. Reports of their private split first surfaced back in February, so this one isn't a shocker. It's the legal finish line for a breakup that's been public for months.
The Backstory
In February, per E!, LaBeouf spoke about the split on Channel 5 with Andrew Callaghan. His words: "I failed my marriage, and so I had to own up to that." He added that it's "not my story alone to tell."
TMZ, meanwhile, recaps a rough year for LaBeouf: he was arrested after a Mardi Gras fight in February and later pleaded guilty to misdemeanor battery. TMZ also reports he bought a home in New Orleans after the split and is seen with a new girlfriend, Nicole Mumphrey. We're only passing along what's been reported, and neither Goth nor LaBeouf has commented publicly on the filing. E! says it has reached out to reps for both.
Mia's Focus
Goth hasn't addressed the split herself, but she has talked about her daughter. She told Elle last October that Isabel is "the greatest gift of my life," and told i-D in September that she has to be able to "justify being away from my daughter" for any project she takes on.
Whatever comes next, it sounds like Isabel is the priority.
