Stop scrolling, because Kim Kardashian just opened up about her love life, and the "no rush" energy is immaculate.

In a new interview with The Times' Style Magazine, the Skims founder says she was "really single for five years" after her split from Kanye West. And no, she's not mad about it.

The Single Era, In Her Own Words

According to Page Six, Kim says she "needed to heal" before romance came back into the picture. TMZ reports she filed for divorce back in 2021 and has been largely unattached since, with one notable exception (more on that in a sec).

Her take on the break? "That felt great," she said, adding that she could focus on her kids and projects she really wanted to be part of.

"I really felt no rush. Like, I really didn't feel empty. I felt like I needed my time."

Honestly? Framing it like that is a whole mood.

Wait, What About Pete?

Yes, we remember. Both outlets note that Kim dated comedian Pete Davidson, and Page Six puts that at about nine months back in 2022. So "single for five years" comes with a tiny asterisk, which she acknowledged herself in the interview, per TMZ ("with the exception of Pete Davidson").

Page Six also points to a recent Variety interview where Pete called the Kardashian world "a really tough atmosphere if you're not game," while saying he found the family's attitude attractive and mature. Plot twist: they're still on good terms.

The Lewis Hamilton Of It All

Kim and the F1 driver have known each other since 2014, and Page Six says they hard-launched the romance in February at the Super Bowl. Since then, they've kept things fairly low-key apart from the occasional sweet Instagram post.

Kim also explained why the timing is what it is:

"I wasn't ready to open up... The universe works in your favour when you just allow it to."

Here's the funny bit, though. When it came to Lewis specifically, TMZ says Kim declined to comment altogether, saying, "In the most respectful way, I'd probably rather not." Protecting the peace, we respect it.

The Tea ☕

  • Kim says she was "really single for five years" after her 2021 split from Kanye West, with the Pete Davidson exception.
  • She calls the time away from dating "great" and says she wasn't ready to open up until now.
  • She politely declined to discuss Lewis Hamilton in the interview, but the couple have been sharing sweet snaps online all summer.

So, Is This The Healthiest Celebrity Love Story Ever?

Taking five years to focus on your kids, your work and yourself, then letting romance show up when it's ready? That's a pretty great blueprint, and not a bad rebrand for the most famous divorce of the 2020s.

So tell us: is Kim's "no rush" approach goals, or are you Team "get back out there immediately"? Sound off below.
