Kim Kardashian's weekend just took a TERRIFYING turn β€” and we are not okay.

A 27-year-old man allegedly broke into the SKIMS mogul's $60 million Hidden Hills mansion on Sunday afternoon, helped himself to items inside the home, and then took a staffer's car for a joyride around the neighborhood before sheriff's deputies swooped in and arrested him. Yes, really.

According to TMZ, the suspect forced his way inside through a door while the estate was undergoing renovations. A security guard spotted the man loading items from Kim's house into a vehicle β€” then watched in disbelief as he jumped behind the wheel of a car belonging to one of Kim's staffers and took it for a spin.

The Tea β˜•

  • A 27-year-old man allegedly broke into Kim's Hidden Hills mansion Sunday afternoon
  • He was caught loading items from the house and joyriding in a staffer's car around the neighborhood
  • Security called 911, and sheriff's deputies arrested him on suspicion of burglary and vehicle theft
  • Kim and her four kids were NOT home β€” they've been living in a rental for months during renovations

Security Swooped In FAST

The security guard immediately called the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff's station to report the break-in, The California Post reports. Deputies surrounded the property and took the suspect into custody without further incident β€” thankfully, no one was injured and no weapons were found.

The man was arrested on suspicion of burglary and booked into jail. According to law enforcement, the vehicle he allegedly stole for his impromptu neighborhood cruise belonged to one of Kim's employees.

Kim Wasn't Home β€” But Still

Here's the silver lining (if there is one): Kim and her four children haven't actually been living at the Hidden Hills estate for the past few months. Sources close to the reality star told TMZ that the family has been staying in a nearby rental while the mansion undergoes extensive renovations.

Kim's team also disputed parts of the initial police narrative, insisting the suspect never actually gained full entry to the main living areas and that Kim doesn't currently have any of her personal belongings stored at the property during construction.

Still, the fact that someone was able to get onto the property AT ALL is pretty scary, especially given Kim's history β€” she was famously robbed at gunpoint in Paris back in 2016, an ordeal that left her traumatized and hyper-vigilant about security ever since.

The Mansion Has HISTORY

Kim and her ex-husband Kanye West originally purchased the sprawling Hidden Hills estate for $20 million back in 2014. They spent years renovating it to their exact specifications and didn't actually move in until 2017. After the couple finalized their divorce in 2022, Kim kept the house and has been raising North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm there β€” well, until the latest round of renovations kicked off.

The property is now valued at over $60 million, and given Kim's A-list status and the level of security typically surrounding her, the fact that someone was able to breach the property and help themselves to a car is genuinely shocking.

This Is A LOT

Between this break-in, the ongoing renovations forcing her family into a rental, and just… everything, Kim has had a chaotic few months. At least the suspect is in custody and no one was hurt β€” but we can only imagine how unsettling this must be for someone who's already been through a terrifying robbery before.

The investigation is ongoing, and we'll be watching to see what charges the suspect ultimately faces.

So here's the question: Do you think celebrity homes need even MORE security, or is this just an unfortunate one-off? Sound off below. πŸ‘‡
