Tickets for Glastonbury 2027 are officially gone — and it took just 42 minutes. No headliners announced, a record-high price tag, and still the queue was a bloodbath.

According to BBC News, thousands joined the online queue at 9am on Sunday for the festival, which returns to Worthy Farm in Somerset from 23 to 27 June after a fallow year. By just after 9:40, Glastonbury had posted on Instagram that it was all over.

The Tea ☕

  • Sold out in 42 minutes on Sunday morning, 4 October.
  • £408 per ticket (including a £5 booking fee), the highest price ever and up £29.50 from 2025.
  • No headliners announced yet, with a resale planned for spring 2027.

The Price Tag Is Getting Wild

Let's talk money. BBC News notes that tickets have crept up from £185 in 2010 to £318 in 2019, and now to £408. That's the first time the price has breached the £400 mark, and most of the rises have come since the pandemic.

Did it put anyone off? Absolutely not. One fan told the BBC "the price is totally worth it", pointing to the thousands of acts and 100-plus stages.

Who Got Lucky (And Who Got Three-Bar Purgatory)

The BBC spoke to fans on both sides of the queue, and the stories are painfully relatable.

One buyer, Dave in London, said this year felt "fairer than it's ever been", claiming the usual hacks didn't seem to help and that about a quarter of the people in his group chats got through. Meanwhile, Sarah in Dorset reckons a phone on 5G in Shaftesbury was the winning setup. (They didn't even know Shaftesbury had 5G until that morning. Honestly, iconic.)

Then there's Mat Chapman, who had hoped that after 20 years of trying he'd finally beat the queue on his daughter Amy's 26th birthday. He only ever got from "two bar hell to three bar purgatory". We felt that in our souls.

On the sweeter side, a couple who met at a very muddy Glastonbury in 2007 are heading back to celebrate their 20th wedding anniversary.

So, Who's Headlining?

Nobody knows yet. Organiser Emily Eavis previously said the team was "very excited" and that things were "coming together really well", per the BBC.

The rumour mill has certainly been spinning. The BBC previously reported that Eavis dismissed rumours that Madonna will headline in 2027, so consider that one officially shut down for now.

Missed Out? Don't Panic Yet

Glastonbury says any tickets not paid in full by the early April 2027 deadline will go back into an official resale pool. A resale is planned for spring 2027, with the exact date still to be announced. In previous years, that's been in late April.

Organisers also apologised to anyone who missed out, saying demand "greatly exceeded supply".

So: did you get through the queue, or are you stuck on three bars? And more importantly, who do you want on that Pyramid Stage? Drop your dream headliner below.
